Combat Hapkido

At the Martial Arts Academy of Southern Pines (MAASPI), we are proud to be one of the largest schools in the International Combat Hapkido Federation (ICHF). Our program is led by Grandmaster Dan Dorton (8th Dan) with the support of instructors Jeremy Underhill, TJ Willcox, and Dan Friebel — ensuring world-class instruction right here in Southern Pines, NC.

What is Combat Hapkido?

Created by Grandmaster John Pellegrini, Combat Hapkido is a modern martial art focused solely on self-defense. This system is known for being realistic, practical, and versatile, making it effective for adults of all experience levels.

Training includes:

  • Pressure points and ground survival

  • Disarming techniques against weapons
